Duḥṣanta–Śakuntalā: Gandharva Marriage and Succession Condition
बृहन्नामाष्टमस्तेषां कालेयानां नराधिप । बभूव राजा धर्मात्मा सर्वभूतहिते रत:,राजन! कालेयोंमें जो आठवाँ था, वह बृहत् नामसे प्रसिद्ध सर्वभूतहितकारी धर्मात्मा राजा हुआ
vaiśampāyana uvāca | bṛhannāmāṣṭamas teṣāṃ kāleyānāṃ narādhipa | babhūva rājā dharmātmā sarvabhūtahite rataḥ ||
ବୈଶମ୍ପାୟନ କହିଲେ—ହେ ନରାଧିପ! ସେହି କାଲେୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅଷ୍ଟମ ଜଣ ‘ବୃହତ୍’ ନାମରେ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ଧର୍ମାତ୍ମା ରାଜା ହୋଇ ସର୍ବଭୂତହିତରେ ରତ ଥିଲେ।
