दाश उवाच
The verse presents an ideal of dharmic royalty: noble birth should be matched by cultivation—beauty and strength are praised, but true excellence includes mastery of śāstra (disciplined learning and right conduct).
Daśa reports that Draupadī, the Pāñcāla princess and wife of the Pāṇḍavas, bore five sons, described as handsome princes and proficient in all branches of learning.
