वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic ideal of establishing stability after hardship: rightful settlement, orderly governance, and sustained residence are presented as markers of legitimate rule and social flourishing.
The Pāṇḍavas (Pārthas) proceed to Khāṇḍavaprastha with their valuables and take up long-term residence there, indicating the beginning of their settled life and political consolidation in that city.
