Educational Q&A

Extraordinary dharmic agency can manifest through human-divine allies: when Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna act with decisive purpose, even the gods are made to pause. The passage highlights that true prowess is not merely force, but a power aligned with a larger providential order that can overawe even celestial beings.

Vaiśampāyana narrates that sages watching from the sky are amazed because Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna have impeded the gods’ movement/power. Indra (Śakra), seeing their repeated feats in battle, recognizes their exceptional valor.
