समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः

त॑ दुष्टभावं॑ विज्ञाय व्यासस्यागमन द्रुतम् । निर्याणप्रतिषेधश्व सुरभ्याख्यानमेव च,दुर्योधनके इस दूषित भावको जानकर महर्षि व्यास झटपट वहाँ आ पहुँचे और उन्होंने दुर्योधनकी यात्राका निषेध कर दिया। इसी प्रसंगमें सुरभिका आख्यान भी है
taṁ duṣṭabhāvaṁ vijñāya vyāsasyāgamanaṁ drutam | niryāṇa-pratiṣedhaś ca surabhy-ākhyānam eva ca ||
ଦୁର୍ଯ୍ୟୋଧନଙ୍କ ଏହି ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଭାବ ଜାଣି ମହର୍ଷି ବ୍ୟାସ ଶୀଘ୍ର ସେଠାକୁ ଆସି ପହଞ୍ଚିଲେ। ସେ ଦୁର୍ଯ୍ୟୋଧନଙ୍କୁ ଯାତ୍ରାରେ ବାହାରିବାକୁ ନିଷେଧ କଲେ; ଏହି ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗରେ ସୁରଭୀଙ୍କ ଆଖ୍ୟାନ ମଧ୍ୟ କୁହାଯାଇଛି।
