Cause of Kalmāṣapāda’s Niyoga under a Curse
कृच्छाद् द्वादशरात्रे तु तस्य राज्ञ: समाहिते । आजगाम विशुद्धात्मा वसिष्ठो भगवानृषि:
kṛcchād dvādaśarātre tu tasya rājñaḥ samāhite | ājagāma viśuddhātmā vasiṣṭho bhagavān ṛṣiḥ ||
ରାଜା କ୍ଲେଶ ସହି ବାରୋଟି ରାତି ଏକାଗ୍ରଚିତ୍ତରେ ନିୟମାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ କରି ସମାହିତ ହୋଇଥିବାବେଳେ, ବିଶୁଦ୍ଧାତ୍ମା ଭଗବାନ ଋଷି ବସିଷ୍ଠ ତାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଲେ।
वसिष्ठ उवाच
Steady endurance and disciplined concentration (samāhita-citta) purify the mind and make one fit to receive dhārmic guidance; the arrival of a revered ṛṣi symbolizes that sincere effort invites higher counsel.
A king has undertaken a difficult twelve-night observance in focused composure; after this period, the pure-hearted sage Vasiṣṭha comes to meet him, setting the stage for instruction or resolution.
