Aurva Episode: Restoration of Sight and Restraint of World-Destructive Anger
sambhṛtā caiva vidyeyaṃ tapaseha mayā purā | nivedayiṣye tām adya prāṇadāya mahātmane ||
Knowledge gained through disciplined effort (tapas) should be used ethically—here, as an act of gratitude and dharma—by offering it to a benefactor who preserved one’s life.
A Gandharva declares that he once obtained a powerful or sacred vidyā through austerities at this very place, and now intends to dedicate that knowledge to the noble person who saved his life, repaying the debt of protection.
