Vasiṣṭhasya śokaḥ, Vipāśā–Śatadrū-nāmākaraṇam, Kalmāṣapādasya bhaya-prasaṅgaḥ (Ādi Parva 167)
स च पुत्रो महावीर्यो महातेजा महाबल: । इष्यते यद्विधो राजन् भविता ते तथाविध:,और कहा--'राजन्! इस यज्ञसे तुम जैसा पुत्र चाहते हो, वैसा ही तुम्हें होगा। तुम्हारा वह पुत्र महान् पराक्रमी, महातेजस्वी और महाबली होगा”
sa ca putro mahāvīryo mahātejā mahābalaḥ | iṣyate yadvidho rājan bhavitā te tathāvidhaḥ ||
ଏବଂ ସେ କହିଲେ—“ହେ ରାଜନ୍! ଏହି ଯଜ୍ଞରୁ ତୁମେ ଯେପରି ପୁତ୍ର ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଛ, ସେପରି ପୁତ୍ର ତୁମକୁ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ମିଳିବ। ସେ ମହାବୀର୍ଯ୍ୟବାନ, ମହାତେଜସ୍ବୀ ଓ ମହାବଳୀ ହେବ।”
