Vasiṣṭhasya śokaḥ, Vipāśā–Śatadrū-nāmākaraṇam, Kalmāṣapādasya bhaya-prasaṅgaḥ (Ādi Parva 167)

क्षत्रोच्छेदाय विहितो जामदग्न्य इवास्थित: । तस्य हा[स्त्रबलं घोरमप्रधृष्यं नरैर्भुवि

kṣatrocchedāya vihito jāmadagnya ivāsthitaḥ | tasya hāstrabalaṃ ghoraṃ apradhṛṣyaṃ narair bhuvi ||

ସେ କ୍ଷତ୍ରିୟ-ଉଚ୍ଛେଦ ପାଇଁ ହିଁ ବିହିତ—ଜାମଦଗ୍ନ୍ୟ (ପରଶୁରାମ) ପରି ଦଣ୍ଡାୟମାନ। ତାଙ୍କର ଅସ୍ତ୍ରବଳ ଭୟଙ୍କର; ପୃଥିବୀରେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଦମନ କରିପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ।
