सन्ति क्वचिन्महादर्यों दुर्गा: काश्चिद् दुरासदा: । नातिक्रामेत पक्षी यान् कुत एवेतरे मृगा:,“कहीं-कहीं बहुत बड़ी गुफाएँ हैं, जिनमें प्रवेश करना अत्यन्त कठिन है। कइयोंके तो निकट भी पहुँचना कठिन है। ऐसे स्थलोंको पक्षी भी नहीं पार कर सकता, फिर मृग आदि अन्य जीवोंकी तो बात ही क्या है?
santi kvacin mahādaryō durgāḥ kāścid durāsadāḥ | nātikrāmet pakṣī yān kuta evetare mṛgāḥ ||
ବୈଶମ୍ପାୟନ କହିଲେ—କେତେକ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଏଠାରେ ବିଶାଳ ଗୁହା ଓ ଦୁର୍ଗମ ଦର୍ରା ଅଛି; ସେଠାକୁ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବା ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ କଠିନ, କେତେକ ତ ନିକଟକୁ ପହଞ୍ଚିବା ମଧ୍ୟ ଦୁଷ୍କର। ଏମିତି ଦେଶକୁ ପକ୍ଷୀ ମଧ୍ୟ ଅତିକ୍ରମ କରିପାରେ ନାହିଁ—ତେବେ ମୃଗାଦି ଅନ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାଣୀମାନଙ୍କ କଥା କ’ଣ କହିବା!
