tasmātsargādayo jātāḥ saṃpūjyāśca vratādinā / purāṇaṃ gāruḍaṃ vyāsaḥ purāsau me 'bravīdidam

ସେହି ଆଦିମୂଳରୁ ସର୍ଗ ଆଦି ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହେଲା; ବ୍ରତାଦି ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯଥାବିଧି ପୂଜ୍ୟ କରିବା ଉଚିତ। ଏହି ଗାରୁଡ ପୁରାଣ ପୂର୍ବେ ମହର୍ଷି ବ୍ୟାସ ମୋତେ କହିଥିଲେ।
