Sage Parāśara (teaching Maitreya in the Vishnu Purana’s dharma section)
This verse presents pāka-yajñas as accessible household rites that sustain dharma through daily worship and offerings, even for those outside the Vedic śrauta sphere.
Parāśara emphasizes practical righteousness—charity, domestic worship, and ancestral rites—framing dharma as performable through appropriate means rather than restricted to high ritual forms.
By outlining ordered duties that uphold the world, the text implies that such dharma participates in Vishnu’s cosmic governance—social and ritual harmony functioning under the Supreme Reality’s sustaining power.
