पिबा सुतस्य रसिनो मत्स्वा न इन्द्र गोमतः आपिर्नो बोधि सधमाद्ये वृधे3 ऽस्मां अवन्तु ते धियः भूयाम ते सुमतौ वाजिनो वयं मा न स्तरभिमातये अस्मां चित्राभिरवतादभिष्टिभिरा नः सुम्नेषु यामय
Drink, Indra, of the expressed Soma, of its grateful juice; be exhilarated for our sake, (thou) rich in kine. Be unto us a friend at the common banquet, for (our) increase. May thy devout thoughts protect us; may we, as winners of the prize, abide in thy favour. Let us not be overcome by hostility; may he (Indra) defend us with manifold aids and succours, and lead us onward amidst (his) benefits.
Mantra 1
आ सुते सिञ्चत श्रियं रोदस्योरभिश्रियम् रसा दधीत वृषभम्
When (Soma) is pressed, pour forth prosperity, the glory of both worlds, surpassing splendour; let the streams deposit the Bull (the vigorous Soma).
Mantra 2
ते जानत स्वमोक्या3ं सं वत्सासो न मातृभिः मिथो नसन्त जामिभिः
They know their own abode; like calves with their mothers, they come together, mutually uniting with their kindred.
Mantra 3
उप स्रक्वेषु बप्सतः कृण्वते धरुणं दिवि इन्द्रे अग्ना नमः स्वः
Approaching with the sacrificial garlands, they utter their chant; they establish a firm support in heaven: adoration (be) to Indra; O Agni, (bear it) to Svah.
