Mantra 1
तरणिं वो जनानां त्रदं वाजस्य गोमतः समानमु प्र शंसिषम्
I proclaim aloud (him who is) your deliverer of men, the bestower of the cattle-rich prize of strength—(him) the same (ever-present protector).

असृग्रमिन्द्र ते गिरः प्रति त्वामुदहासत सजोषा वृषभं पतिम्
They have sent forth thy praises, O Indra; they have raised them up towards thee, with one accord, (to thee) the strong bull, the lord.

श्रुतं वो वृत्रहन्तमं प्र शर्धं चर्षणीनाम् आशिषे राधसे महे
Famed unto you is he, the most slayer of Vṛtra; therefore do ye, the host of men, (approach him) for blessing, for bounty, for great (prosperity).

अरं त इन्द्र श्रवसे गमेम शूर त्वावतः अरं शक्र परेमणि
Fitly, O Indra, may we attain unto fame; O hero, aided by thee; fitly, O mighty one, (may we prosper) in the onward course.

धानावन्तं करम्भिणमपूपवन्तमुक्थिनम् इन्द्र प्रातर्जुषस्व नः
Indra, in the morning accept of us (the offering) abounding in parched grain, with karambha, with sacrificial cakes, accompanied by sacred recitation.

अपां फेनेन नमुचेः शिर इन्द्रोदवर्तयः विश्वा यदजय स्पृधः
With the foam of the waters thou, Indra, didst strike off the head of Namuci, when thou didst overcome all hostile oppositions.
