सूर्य–कर्णोपदेशः
Sūrya’s Counsel to Karṇa on Kīrti and the Kuṇḍala
इत्युक्त्वान्तरहिते तस्मिन् रामो नलमुवाच ह । कुरु सेतु समुद्रे त्वं शक्तो हसि मतो मम,ऐसा कहकर समुद्र अन्तर्धान हो गया। तत्पश्चात् श्रीयीमने उठकर नलसे कहा--“तुम समुद्रपर एक पुल तैयार करो। मैं जानता हूँ, तुममें यह कार्य करनेकी शक्ति है”
ity uktvāntarhite tasmin rāmo nalam uvāca ha | kuru setuṃ samudre tvaṃ śakto hasi mato mama ||
ထိုသို့ ပြောပြီးနောက် ပင်လယ်သည် မျက်စိရှေ့မှ ပျောက်ကွယ်သွား၏။ ထို့နောက် ရာမက နလကို ခေါ်၍ ဆိုသည်– «ပင်လယ်ကို ဖြတ်ကူးရန် တံတားတည်ဆောက်လော့။ ငါ့အမြင်အရ သင်သည် ဤအလုပ်ကို ပြီးမြောက်စေနိုင်သော အင်အားနှင့် လက်ရာရှိသည်»။
