Sāvitrī’s Trirātra-Vrata and Departure with Satyavān (सावित्रीव्रतनिश्चयः सहगमनं च)
मा विषीद नरव्याप्र नैष कश्रिन्मयि स्थिते | छिन्ध्यस्य दक्षिणं बाहुं छिन्न: सव्यो मया भुज:,“नरश्रेष्ठी तुम खेद न करो। मेरे रहते यह राक्षस कोई चीज नहीं है; इससे तुम्हें कोई हानि नहीं पहुँच सकती। तुम इसकी दाहिनी बाँह काट डालो। मैं बायीं भुजा काट रहा हूँ!
mā viṣīda naravyāghra naiṣa kaścin mayi sthite | chindhy asya dakṣiṇaṃ bāhuṃ chinnaḥ savyo mayā bhujaḥ ||
မာရ္ကဏ္ဍေယက ဆိုသည်— “လူတို့အနက် ကျားတစ်ကောင်ကဲ့သို့သောသူရေ၊ မဝမ်းနည်းပါနှင့်။ ငါရှိနေသရွေ့ ဤရက္ခသသည် အရေးမပါ; သင့်ကို မထိခိုက်နိုင်။ ၎င်း၏ ညာလက်ကို ဖြတ်ချေ—ဘယ်လက်ကိုတော့ ငါဖြတ်ပြီးသားပင်” ဟု။
