किमिदं वर्तते ब्रह्मन्‌ कि च ते ह चिकीर्षितम्‌ | अतीव हि महान्‌ यत्न: क्रियतेडयं निरर्थक:

Transliteration

Lomaśa uvāca | kim idaṁ vartate brahman kiṁ ca te ha cikīrṣitam | atīva hi mahān yatnaḥ kriyate ’yaṁ nirarthakaḥ ||

Translation

လောမသက ဆိုသည်– “အို ဗြာဟ္မဏ၊ ဤနေရာတွင် ဘာဖြစ်နေသနည်း၊ သင်သည် အမှန်တကယ် ဘာကို လုပ်လိုသနည်း။ အလွန်ကြီးမားသော အားထုတ်မှုကို ပြုလုပ်နေသော်လည်း အကျိုးမဲ့သကဲ့သို့ ထင်ရသည်။”
