च्यवन-यज्ञे अश्विनोः सोमग्रहण-विवादः

अगृलह्लाच्च्यवन: सोममश्रिनोर्देवयोस्तदा । तमिन्द्रो वारयामास गृह्नानं स तयोग्रहम्,महर्षि च्यवनने उस समय दोनों अश्विनीकुमारों-को देनेके लिये सोमरसका भाग हाथमें लिया। उन दोनोंके लिये सोमका भाग ग्रहण करते समय इन्द्रने मुनिको मना किया
agṛhṇāc cyavanaḥ somaṁ aśvinoḥ devayoḥ tadā | tam indro vārayām āsa gṛhṇānaṁ sa tayor graham ||
ထိုအခါ မဟာရိရှီ ချျဝနသည် အရှွင်နှစ်ပါးသော ဒေဝတော်တို့အား ပူဇော်ရန် သတ်မှတ်ထားသော သောမရသ၏ အစိတ်အပိုင်းကို လက်ထဲတွင် ယူလိုက်၏။ ထိုနှစ်ပါးအတွက် သောမ၏ အစိတ်အပိုင်းကို ယူဆောင်နေစဉ် အင်ဒြာသည် ထိုရိရှီကို တားဆီးလိုက်ပြီး—သူတို့သည် သောမအခွင့်မရှိဟု ကန့်ကွက်ကာ—အခွင့်အရေးဟောင်း၏ အထက်တန်းစည်းကမ်းနှင့် ရိရှီ၏ တရားမျှတသော ပါဝင်ခွင့်တောင်းဆိုမှုတို့အကြား ပဋိပက္ခကို ဖြစ်ပေါ်စေ하였다။
