Kuntī’s Lament and Govinda’s Consolation
स वै पथि समागम्य भीष्मेणाक्लिष्टकर्मणा । द्रोणेन धार्तराष्ट्रैश्न तैर्वृतो नगरं ययौ
sa vai pathi samāgamya bhīṣmeṇākliṣṭa-karmaṇā | droṇena dhārtarāṣṭraiś ca tair vṛto nagaraṃ yayau ||
လမ်းခရီး၌ မပင်ပန်းမနားသော ကုသိုလ်ကံတော်ကြီးရှိသူ ဘီရှ္မနှင့် ဒ್ರೋဏတို့ကို တွေ့ဆုံပြီးနောက်၊ ဓೃತရာෂ္ဋ္ရ၏ သားတော်များ ဝိုင်းရံလျက်ရှိသော သီရိကృష్ణသည် မြို့တော်သို့ ဝင်ရောက်သွား၏။
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even at the threshold of conflict, dharma operates through counsel and restraint: Kṛṣṇa’s entry among revered elders (Bhīṣma, Droṇa) and the Kaurava princes highlights the moral weight of authority and the responsibility to seek a just resolution before war.
While traveling, Kṛṣṇa meets Bhīṣma and Droṇa on the road; accompanied and surrounded by Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s sons, he then proceeds into the city (Hastināpura), marking his arrival for high-stakes negotiations.
