तृणानि भूमिरुदकं वाक् चतुर्थी च सूनूता । सतामेतानि गेहेषु नोच्छिद्यन्ते कदाचन,तृणका आसन, पृथ्वी, जल और चौथी मीठी वाणी--सज्जनोंके घरमें इन चार चीजोंकी कभी कमी नहीं होती
tṛṇāni bhūmir udakaṃ vāk caturthī ca sūnṛtā | satām etāni geheṣu nocchidyante kadācana ||
ဝိဒုရက သင်ကြားသည်– «တကယ့် သုခမင်္ဂလာရှိသူတို့၏ အိမ်တွင် ရိုးရိုးလက်ဆောင် လေးပါးသည် မည်သည့်အခါမျှ မကုန်ခန်း။ ထိုင်ခုံအဖြစ် မြက်ခင်း၊ အနားယူရာ မြေပြင်၊ ဧည့်ဝတ်အတွက် ရေ၊ နှင့် စတုတ္ထအဖြစ် စူနြတာ—ချိုမြိန်၍ မှန်ကန်သော စကား—တို့ ဖြစ်သည်»။
