आत्मनो बलमज्ञाय धर्मार्थपरिवर्जितम्‌ | अलभ्यमिच्छन्‌ नैष्कर्म्यान्मूढबुद्धिरिहोच्यते

Transliteration

ātmano balam ajñāya dharmārtha-parivarjitam | alabhyam icchan naiṣkarmyān mūḍha-buddhir iha ucyate ||

Translation

ဝိဒုရက ပြောသည်– မိမိ၏အင်အားကို မသိဘဲ၊ ဓမ္မနှင့် အರ್ಥ (အကျိုးအမြတ်) ကို စွန့်လွှတ်ကာ မရနိုင်သောအရာကို လိုလားသူသည် ဤလောက၌ ဉာဏ်မိုက်သူဟု ခေါ်ကြ၏။ တာဝန်ရှိသည့် လုပ်ရပ်၏လမ်းမှ လွဲ၍ မမှန်ကန်သော မလုပ်ဆောင်ခြင်းသို့ လှည့်သွားသောကြောင့် ဖြစ်သည်။
