अध्याय २९ — वासुदेव–संजय संवादः
Karma, Varṇa-Dharma, and the Ethics of Governance
स एव भक्त: स गुरु: स भर्ता सवैपिता सच माता सुद्ृच्च । अगाधबुद्धि्विंदुरो दीर्घदर्शी स नो मन्त्री कुशलं तं सम पृच्छे:
sa eva bhaktaḥ sa guruḥ sa bhartā saiva pitā sa ca mātā sudṛḍhaḥ | agādhabuddhir vinduro dīrghadarśī sa no mantrī kuśalaṃ taṃ sama pṛccheḥ ||
ယုဓိဋ္ဌိရက မိန့်ကြားသည်– «သူတစ်ဦးတည်းသာ စစ်မှန်သော ဘက္တ (သဒ္ဓါဝန်) ဖြစ်၏။ သူတစ်ဦးတည်းသာ ဂုရု ဖြစ်၏။ သူတစ်ဦးတည်းသာ အကာအကွယ်ပေးသူ၊ ထောက်ပံ့သူ ဖြစ်၏။ ဖခင်ကဲ့သို့လည်းကောင်း၊ မိခင်ကဲ့သို့လည်းကောင်း—တည်ကြည်၍ ယုံကြည်ထိုက်သူ ဖြစ်၏။ ဉာဏ်နက်ရှိုင်း၍ ခွဲခြားသိမြင်ကာ အဝေးမြင်သူ၊ သူသည် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏ အမတ်တိုင်ပင်သူ ဖြစ်သည်။ လေးစားစွာဖြင့် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့အတွက် အကျိုးရှိသော အရာကို မေးမြန်းပါ»။
