भीष्मस्वप्न-स्मृत्युपाख्यानम् | Bhīṣma’s Dream-Linked Recollection of the Paraśurāma Combat

नहिमां क्षत्रिय: कश्चिद्‌ वीर्येण व्यजयद्‌ युधि । ऋते ब्रह्म॒विदस्तात तपसा संशितव्रतात्‌

na hi māṁ kṣatriyaḥ kaścid vīryeṇa vyajayad yudhi | ṛte brahmavidastāta tapasā saṁśitavratāt ||

ရာမက ပြောသည်—“စစ်မြေပြင်၌ သတ္တိဗလသာဖြင့် ငါ့ကို အနိုင်ယူနိုင်ခဲ့သော က္ଷတ္တရိယ (kṣatriya) တစ်ယောက်မျှ မရှိ။ သို့ရာတွင်၊ ချစ်သောသူရေ၊ တပသ (tapas) ဖြင့် ဝတ္တရားသစ္စာကို ထက်မြက်စွာ ပြည့်စုံစေသော ဗြဟ္မန် (Brahman) ကို သိမြင်သူ ဘြာဟ္မဏ ပရရှုရာမ (Paraśurāma) ကိုသာ ချန်လှပ်၍ မည်သူမျှ မရှိ။”
