Bhīṣma’s Dream-Counsel and the Prasvāpa Astra (भीष्मस्वप्नदर्शनम् / प्रस्वापास्त्रोपदेशः)
न त्वहं विनिवर्तिष्ये युद्धादस्मात् कथंचन । “आजसे पहले भी मैं कभी किसी युद्धसे पीछे नहीं हटा हूँ। अतः: पितामहो! आपलोग अपनी इच्छाके अनुसार पहले गंगानन्दन भीष्मको ही युद्धसे निवृत्त कीजिये। मैं किसी प्रकार पहले स्वयं ही इस युद्धसे पीछे नहीं हटूँगा”
na tv ahaṁ vinivartiṣye yuddhād asmāt kathaṁcana |
ဘီရှ္မက ကြေညာသည်—«ဤစစ်ပွဲမှ မည်သို့မျှ မပြန်လှန်ဆုတ်ခွာနိုင်။ ယခင်ကလည်း ငါသည် စစ်မြေမှ တစ်ခါမျှ နောက်မဆုတ်ခဲ့။ ထို့ကြောင့် အို ပိတామဟာ၊ သက်ကြီးမင်းတို့က ငါ့ကို စစ်မှ ထုတ်ပယ်လိုလျှင်၊ မိမိတို့အလိုအတိုင်း ဂင်္ဂါနန္ဒန ဘီရှ္မကိုပင် တရားဝင် ရပ်နားစေကြလော့။ ငါသည် ကိုယ့်ရွေးချယ်မှုဖြင့် အရင်ဆုံး နောက်ဆုတ်မည်မဟုတ်»
