अकाल त्र्यशीर्त्याधेकशततमो< ध्याय: भीष्मको अष्टवसुओंसे प्रस्वापनास्त्रकी प्राप्ति भीष्म उवाच ततोऊहं निशि राजेन्द्र प्रणम्य शिरसा तदा । ब्राह्मणानां पितृणां च देवतानां च सर्वश:
bhīṣma uvāca | tato'haṃ niśi rājendra praṇamya śirasā tadā | brāhmaṇānāṃ pitṝṇāṃ ca devatānāṃ ca sarvaśaḥ |
ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– «အို မင်းကြီး၊ ထို့နောက် ည၏ တိတ်ဆိတ်မှုအတွင်း ငါသည် ခေါင်းငုံ့ကာ ရိုသေစွာ—ဗြာဟ္မဏများ၊ ပိတೃများ (ဘိုးဘွားဝိညာဉ်များ) နှင့် နတ်ဘုရားတို့အား အမျိုးမျိုးသောနည်းဖြင့် နမස්ကာရ ပြုခဲ့သည်။ ထိုသို့ ဂုဏ်ပြုအပြီး ငါသည် စိတ်ကို အတွင်းသို့ လှည့်ကာ မည်သို့ ပြုသင့်သည်ကို စဉ်းစားဆင်ခြင်하였다»။
