Bhīṣma–Jāmadagnya-saṃvādaḥ
Bhishma’s account of the encounter with Rāma Jāmadagnya
ततो जाल॑ बाणमयं विवृत्तं संदृश्य भित्त्वा शरजालेन राजन् | द्वादशेषून् प्राहिणवं रणेडहं ततः शक्तीरप्यधमं घोररूपा:
tato jālaṃ bāṇamayaṃ vivṛttaṃ saṃdṛśya bhittvā śarajālena rājan | dvādaśeṣūn prāhiṇavaṃ raṇe'haṃ tataḥ śaktīr apy adhamam ghorarūpāḥ ||
ထို့နောက် မင်းကြီးရေ၊ မြှားကွန်ယက်တစ်ခု လှည့်ပတ်နေသည်ကို မြင်လျှင် ငါသည် မြှားကွန်ယက်ဖြင့်ပင် ထိုးဖောက်ကာ ခွဲချိုးပစ်하였다။ ထိုစစ်မြေပြင်၌ ငါသည် မြှားတစ်ဆယ့်နှစ်စင်းကို ပစ်လွှတ်ပြီး၊ ထို့နောက် ကြောက်မက်ဖွယ် ရုပ်သဏ္ဌာန်ရှိသော သက္တိ (လှံတံမစ်ဆိုင်) များကိုပါ ပစ်ချ၍ တိုက်ပွဲကို မရပ်မနား ဆက်လက်ဖိအားပေး하였다။
