Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 165 — Bhīṣma’s Appraisal and Karṇa’s Rebuttal (भीष्म–कर्ण विवादः)
कृप: शारद्वतो राजन् रथयूथपयूथप: । प्रियान् प्राणान् परित्यज्य प्रधक्ष्यति रिपूंस्तव
kṛpaḥ śāradvatō rājan rathayūthapayūthapaḥ | priyān prāṇān parityajya pradhakṣyati ripūṁs tava rājan ||
ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– «အို မင်းကြီး၊ ရှာရဒ္ဝတ်၏ သား ကೃပ သည် ရထားတပ်စုခေါင်းဆောင်တို့အနက်တောင် ခေါင်းဆောင်ဖြစ်၏။ မိမိ၏ အချစ်ဆုံး အသက်ကိုပင် စွန့်လွှတ်ကာ သင်၏ ရန်သူတို့ကို စစ်မြေပြင်၌ မီးလောင်သကဲ့သို့ ဖျက်ဆီးလိမ့်မည်»။
