Bhīṣma’s Appraisal of Kaurava Champions (भीष्मकृतः रथिनां गुणनिरूपणम्)
अर्थसिद्धि तव रणे करिष्यति न संशय: । शस्त्रविद्धिरनाधृष्यो दूरपाती दृढायुध:
bhīṣma uvāca |
arthasiddhiṁ tava raṇe kariṣyati na saṁśayaḥ |
śastraviddhir anādhṛṣyo dūrapātī dṛḍhāyudhaḥ |
haniṣyati camūṁ teṣāṁ mahendro dānavān iva ||
ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– «စစ်ပွဲတွင် သူသည် သင်လိုလားသော အကျိုးရလဒ်ကို မသံသယဘဲ ပြီးမြောက်စေမည်။ လက်နက်ပညာ အထူးကျွမ်းကျင်၍ ကြီးမားသော လက်နက်ကျွမ်းကျင်သူများပင် မချိုးဖောက်နိုင်၊ လက်နက်ကိရိယာ ခိုင်မာပြီး အဝေးမှ ပစ်မှတ်ကိုပါ ထိမှန်စေနိုင်သည်။ မဟေန္ဒြ (အိန္ဒြ) သည် ဒာနဝတို့ကို သတ်ဖြတ်သကဲ့သို့ သူလည်း သူတို့၏ စစ်တပ်ကို ဖျက်ဆီးလိမ့်မည်»။
