Bhīṣma’s Appraisal of Kaurava Champions (भीष्मकृतः रथिनां गुणनिरूपणम्)
हतमेव हि पश्यामि गाड़ेयं पितरं रणे । वासुदेवसहायेन पार्थेन दृढ्धन्वना,अर्जुन सुदृढ़ धनुष धारण करते हैं। इसके सिवा भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण उनके सहायक हैं; अतः मैं रणभूमिमें अपने पिता गंगानन्दन भीष्मको उनके द्वारा मारा गया ही मानता हूँ
hatam eva hi paśyāmi gāṅgeyaṃ pitaraṃ raṇe | vāsudeva-sahāyena pārthena dṛḍha-dhanvanā ||
ဓြတရာෂ္ဋြက ပြောသည်– «စစ်မြေပြင်၌ ဂင်္ဂါ၏သား ဘီရှ္မကို ငါသည် သတ်ပြီးသားဟုတောင် မြင်နေရသကဲ့သို့ပင်—အကြောင်းမှာ မလှုပ်မယှက် ခိုင်မာစွာ လေးကိုင်ထားသော ပါර්ထ (အာర్జုန) သည် ဝာစုဒေဝ (ကృష్ణ) ကို အကူအညီအဖြစ်ထား၍ တိုက်ခိုက်နေသောကြောင့် ဖြစ်သည်။ ထိုကဲ့သို့သော အထောက်အပံ့နှင့် ထိုကဲ့သို့သော သတ္တိစွမ်းအားကြောင့် ဘီရှ္မ၏ ကျဆုံးခြင်းသည် မလွဲမသွေဟု ထင်ရသည်»။
