वैशम्पायन उवाच तस्य तद्‌ वचन श्रुत्वा धर्मराजस्य धीमत: । अब्रवीत्‌ पुण्डरीकाक्षो धनंजयमवेक्ष्य ह

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | tasya tad vacanaṃ śrutvā dharmarājasya dhīmataḥ | abravīt puṇḍarīkākṣo dhanaṃjayam avekṣya ha |

Translation

ဝိုင်ရှမ္ပါယနက ပြောသည်—အရှင်ဘုရင်၊ ဉာဏ်ပညာရှိသော ဓမ္မရာဇ ယုဓိဋ္ဌိရ၏ ထိုစကားကို ကြားသော် ကြာမျက်စိရှိသော သရီကృష్ణသည် ဓနဉ္ဇယ (အာర్జုန) ကို လှည့်ကြည့်ကာ မိန့်တော်မူ하였다။ အဓိပ္ပါယ်မှာ ကృష్ణသည် စစ်ခေါင်းဆောင်ရွေးချယ်မှုကို ဓမ္မနှင့် အရည်အချင်းအပေါ် မူတည်၍ စဉ်းစားထားခြင်းကို အတည်ပြုခြင်းဖြစ်သည်—အမည်ခေါ်ထားသော သူရဲကောင်းများအားလုံးသည် သူ၏အမြင်အရလည်း စစ်တပ်ကို ဦးဆောင်ရန် သင့်တော်ကြပြီး၊ အားလုံးသည် အင်အားကြီးသော စစ်သူရဲများဖြစ်ကြသဖြင့် မျက်နှာသာပေးခြင်းကြောင့် မဟုတ်ဟု ဆိုလိုသည်။
