Droṇa–Vidura–Gāndhārī Counsel in the Royal Assembly (धर्मार्थयुक्ता सभा-उपदेश-प्रकरणम्)
न चोच्छेदं कुलं यायाद् विस्तीर्येच्च कथं यश: । तस्याहमीप्सितं बुद्ध्वा कालीं मातरमावहम्
na cocchedaṃ kulaṃ yāyād vistīryec ca kathaṃ yaśaḥ | tasyāham īpsitaṃ buddhvā kālīṃ mātaram āvaham |
«ဤမျိုးရိုးမပြတ်စေ၊ ဂုဏ်သတင်းလည်း အမြဲတိုးပွားစေ» ဟူသော သူ၏အတွင်းစိတ်ဆန္ဒကို သိမြင်၍ ငါသည် မိခင် ကာလီ (သတ္တျဝတီ) ကို ခေါ်ဆောင်လာခဲ့သည်။ မျိုးရိုးအကျိုးနှင့် အဖေ၏စိတ်ချမ်းသာအတွက် ငါသည် မင်းမဖြစ်ဘဲ နေခြင်းနှင့် ūrdhvaretaḥ (တစ်သက်တာ တင်းကျပ်သော ဗြဟ္မစရိယ) ကို ထိန်းသိမ်းခြင်းဟူသော ခက်ခဲသည့် သစ္စာကတိကို ခံယူခဲ့သည်။ ဤအရာအားလုံးကို သင်ကောင်းကောင်း သိပြီးသား။ ထိုကတိကို ထိန်းသိမ်းလျက် ငါသည် ဤနေရာ၌ အမြဲတမ်း စိတ်ချမ်းသာစွာ တည်နေ၏။
