Yuddha-yajña-vyākhyāna (The Battle as Sacrifice): Ambarīṣa–Indra Saṃvāda
तृणपूर्णमुखश्चैव तवास्मीति च यो वदेत् । युद्धमें वृद्ध, बालक और स्त्रियोंका वध नहीं करना चाहिये, किसी भागते हुएकी पीठमें आघात नहीं करना चाहिये, जो मुँहमें तिनका लिये शरण में आ जाय और कहने लगे कि मैं आपका ही हूँ, उसका भी वध नहीं करना चाहिये || ४८ $ ।।
tṛṇapūrṇamukhaś caiva tavāsmīti ca yo vadet |
အမ္ဗရီရှက ပြောသည်—«ပါးစပ်ထဲ မြက်တင်၍ (လက်နက်ချသည့် သင်္ကေတဖြင့်) ‘ကျွန်ုပ်သည် သင်၏သူ’ ဟု ဆိုကာ ခိုလှုံလာသူကိုပင် မသတ်ရ»။
