Vāmadeva’s Rājadharma: Norm-Setting, Counsel, and the Prevention of Rāṣṭra-Vināśa (वामदेव-प्रोक्तं राजधर्मम्)
साहसप्रकृतिर्यत्र किंचिदुल्बणमाचरेत् । अशास्त्रलक्षणो राजा क्षिप्रमेव विनश्यति
sāhasaprakṛtir yatra kiñcid ulbaṇam ācaret | aśāstralakṣaṇo rājā kṣipram eva vinaśyati ||
ဝါမဒေဝက ဆိုသည်—“မင်းသည် သဘာဝအားဖြင့် အလျင်အမြန်၊ မဆင်မခြင်ဖြစ်၍ အလွန်အကျွံ သို့မဟုတ် အကြမ်းဖက်မှုကို သေးငယ်သော်လည်း ကျူးလွန်ကာ၊ သာသနာကျမ်း (śāstra) နှင့် မှန်ကန်သော အုပ်ချုပ်ရေး၏ လမ်းညွှန်အမှတ်အသားများ မရှိလျှင် ထိုမင်းသည် မကြာခင် ပျက်စီးသွားမည်” ဟု။
