अथ मानयितुर्दाम्न: श्लक्षणस्य वशवर्तिन: । व्यसन स्वमिवोत्पन्नं विजिघांसन्ति मानवा:
atha mānayitur dāmnaḥ ślakṣṇasya vaśavartinaḥ | vyasanaṃ svam ivotpannaṃ vijighāṃsanti mānavāḥ ||
ယခု အားလုံးကို လေးစားသူ၊ လှူဒါန်းတတ်သူ၊ အပြုအမူနူးညံ့သိမ်မွေ့သူ၊ အခြားသူတို့ကို ထည့်သွင်းစဉ်းစားကာ လိုက်လျောညီထွေ နေထိုင်သူတစ်ဦးအပေါ် အကျပ်အတည်းတစ်ရပ် ကျရောက်လာလျှင် လူတို့သည် မိမိတို့၏ အကျပ်အတည်းကဲ့သို့ ထင်မှတ်ကာ ၎င်းကို ဖယ်ရှားရန် ကြိုးပမ်းကြသည်။
