अपने कौएको पिंजड़ेमें बाणसे विदीर्ण हुआ देखकर ब्राह्मणने पूर्वाह्ञमें राजा क्षेमदर्शीसे इस प्रकार कहा-- ।।

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca |

rājan tvām abhayaṃ yāce prabhuṃ prāṇa-dhaneśvaram |

anujñātas tvayā brūyāṃ vacanaṃ bhavato hitam ||

Translation

ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– «အို မဟာရာဇာ၊ ပြည်သူတို့၏ အသက်နှင့် ဥစ္စာကို အုပ်စိုးသော အရှင်ထံမှ ကျွန်ုပ်သည် အန္တရာယ်ကင်းကြောင်း အာမခံချက်ကို တောင်းခံပါ၏။ ခွင့်ပြုတော်မူပါက အရှင်၏ ကောင်းကျိုးအတွက် စကားကို ပြောကြားပါမည်»။
