आपद्धर्मे वैश्यवृत्तिः, विक्रय-निषेधाः, तथा ब्रह्म-क्षत्र-सम्बन्धः

भवते*हं ददानीदं भवानेतत्‌ प्रयच्छतु । रुचितो वर्तते धर्मो न बलात्‌ सम्प्रवर्तते

bhavate ’haṃ dadānīdaṃ bhavān etat prayacchatu | rucito vartate dharmo na balāt sampravartate ||

ဘိဿမက မိန့်တော်မူသည်– «‘ငါသည် ဤအရာကို သင်အား ပေး၏; သင်သည် အစားထိုးအဖြစ် ထိုအရာကို ငါ့အား ပေးလော့’ ဟူ၍ နှစ်ဖက်စလုံး၏ စိတ်ကြိုက်နှင့် သဘောတူညီချက်ဖြင့် ပစ္စည်းလဲလှယ်ခြင်းကို ဓမ္မ (မှန်ကန်သော အကျင့်) ဟု သတ်မှတ်ကြသည်။ သို့သော် အတင်းအကျပ် ဖိအားပေး၍ လဲလှယ်လျှင် ဓမ္မ မဟုတ်»။
