Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)
महादण्डश्न तस्य स्याद् यस्यान्निर्वे दिवा भवेत् । प्रघोषयेदथैवं च रक्षणार्थ पुरस्य च,नगरकी रक्षाके लिये यह घोषणा करा दे कि “जिसके यहाँ दिनमें आग जलायी जाती होगी उसे बड़ा भारी दण्ड दिया जायगा”
mahādaṇḍaś ca tasya syād yasyānnirve divā bhavet | praghoṣayed athaivaṃ ca rakṣaṇārthaṃ purasya ca ||
ဘီရှ္မက မိန့်ကြားသည်– မြို့ကို ကာကွယ်ရန်အတွက် ဤအမိန့်ကို လူထုအကြား ကြေညာစေ– “နေ့ခင်းတွင် မိမိအိမ်၌ ချက်ပြုတ်မီး လောင်နေသည်ဟု တွေ့ရှိသူအား အလွန်ပြင်းထန်သော ဒဏ်ခတ်မှု ချမှတ်မည်” ဟု။
