सत्यार्जवं चातिथिपूजनं च धर्मस्तथार्थश्ष रति: स्वदारै: | निषेवितव्यानि सुखानि लोके हास्मिन्‌ परे चैव मतं ममैतत्‌

Transliteration

satyārjavaṃ cātithipūjanaṃ ca dharmas tathārthaś ca ratiḥ svadāraiḥ | niṣevitavyāni sukhāni loke hāsmin pare caiva mataṃ mamaitat ||

Translation

ဘီရှ္မက မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ «အမှန်တရားနှင့် ရိုးသားတည့်မတ်မှု၊ ဧည့်သည်ကို ဂုဏ်ပြုဧည့်ခံခြင်း၊ ဓမ္မနှင့် အర్థကို လိုက်စားခြင်း၊ ထို့ပြင် မိမိဇနီးအပေါ် သစ္စာရှိသော ချစ်ခြင်း—ဤအရာတို့သည် ဤလောက၌ အိမ်ထောင်ရှင်က မွေးမြူကျင့်သုံးသင့်သော သင့်လျော်သည့် ပျော်ရွှင်မှုများဖြစ်သည်။ ဤသို့ ကျင့်သုံးလျှင် ဤလောက၌လည်းကောင်း၊ နောက်လောက၌လည်းကောင်း သုခကို ရရှိမည်ဟု ငါ၏ အမြင်ဖြစ်သည်»။
