Adhyāya 55 — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Hesitation and Bhīṣma’s Authorization of Inquiry
Rājadharma Prelude
लोकस्य कदनं कृत्वा लोकनाथो विशाम्पते । अभिशापभयादू् भीतो भवन्तं नोपसर्पति,प्रजापालक भीष्म! ये लोकनाथ युधिष्ठिर जगत्का संहार करके शापके भयसे त्रस्त हो उठे हैं; इसीलिये आपके निकट नहीं आते हैं
lokasya kadanaṁ kṛtvā lokanātho viśāmpate | abhiśāpa-bhayād bhīto bhavantaṁ nopasarpati || prajā-pālaka bhīṣma! ye lokanātha yudhiṣṭhira jagat-kā saṁhāra karke śāpa-ke bhaya-se trasta ho uṭhe haiṁ; isīliye āpke nikaṭ nahīṁ āte haiṁ |
ဝါယုဒေဝက မိန့်တော်မူသည်– «အို လူထု၏အရှင်၊ လောကကို ပျက်စီးစေခဲ့ပြီးနောက် နိုင်ငံ၏အုပ်စိုးရှင်သည် ကျိန်စာ၏ကြောက်ရွံ့မှုကြောင့် တုန်လှုပ်နေသဖြင့် သင့်ထံ မနီးကပ်လာနိုင်။ အို ဘီရှ္မ၊ ပြည်သူတို့၏ကာကွယ်သူ—လောက၌ ဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့သော ဖျက်ဆီးမှုကြောင့် ကျိန်စာတင်မည်ကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ကာ တုန်လှုပ်နေသော ယုဓိဋ္ဌိရ မင်းသည် သင့်ရှေ့မှောက်သို့ မလာရဲဘဲ ဝေးကွာနေသည်»။
