Śvetadvīpa-varṇana and Śāstra-pravartana (Śānti Parva 322)
उपतिष्ठति तिष्ठन्तं गच्छन्तमनुगच्छति । करोति कुर्वत: कर्म च्छायेवानुविधीयते
upatiṣṭhati tiṣṭhantaṃ gacchantam anugacchati | karoti kurvataḥ karma chāyevānuvidhīyate ||
ဘိဿမက မိန့်တော်မူသည်– ကံသည် အရိပ်ကဲ့သို့ လူကိုလိုက်သည်။ သူရပ်လျှင် အနီးကပ်ရပ်နေ၏; သူလျှောက်လျှင် နောက်မှလိုက်လျှောက်၏; သူသွားလျှင် အတူလိုက်သွား၏။ ပြုသူက ဘာကိုပဲလုပ်လုပ် ထိုလုပ်ရပ်နှင့် ၎င်း၏ သီလအကျိုးဆက်တို့သည် သူ့ခြေလှမ်းနှင့်တပြိုင်နက် လိုက်ပါကာ မည်သည့်အခါမျှ မလွတ်စေ။
