Śvetadvīpa-varṇana and Śāstra-pravartana (Śānti Parva 322)
अचोटद्यमानानि यथा पुष्पाणि च फलानि च । स्वं काल॑ नातिवर्तन्ते तथा कर्म पुरा कृतम्
acoṭadyamānāni yathā puṣpāṇi ca phalāni ca | svaṃ kālaṃ nātivartante tathā karma purā kṛtam ||
ဘိဿမက မိန့်တော်မူသည်– «ပန်းနှင့်အသီးတို့သည် အတင်းအကျပ် မနှိုးဆော်ဘဲ မိမိရာသီအချိန်ရောက်သော် သစ်ပင်ပေါ်တွင် ပေါက်ဖွားလာသကဲ့သို့၊ အတိတ်က ပြုခဲ့သောကံလည်း မိမိအကျိုးပေးရမည့် သတ်မှတ်အချိန်ကို မကျော်လွန်နိုင်။ ကံ၏အကျိုးပေးခြင်းသည် မိမိသင့်တော်သောအခါ ရောက်လာလျှင် မလွဲမသွေ ရောက်လာသည်»။
