Educational Q&A

Learning becomes fruitful only when it is internalized and expressed through wholesome action; instruction is most effective when given to a grateful, receptive person who recognizes its value and applies it.

Vyāsa is explaining the proper recipient and purpose of ethical-spiritual instruction: the one who has mastered what is heard (scriptural teaching) and is engaged in auspicious conduct; such a person makes the teaching succeed in practice.
