Svapna–Manas–Guṇa–Brahma-vicāra
ततस्ते मधुपर्केण पूजां चक्कुरथो मयि । प्रतिगृह्म च तां पूजां प्रत्यनन्दमृषीनहम्
tataste madhuparkeṇa pūjāṃ cakkuratho mayi | pratigṛhya ca tāṃ pūjāṃ pratyānandam ṛṣīn aham ||
ဘိဿမက မိန့်တော်မူသည်—«ထို့နောက် ထိုရိရှိတို့သည် မဓုပရ္က (madhuparka) ကို ဆက်ကပ်ကာ ဧည့်ခံပူဇာကို ငါ့အပေါ် ပြုကြ၏။ ငါသည် ထိုဧည့်ဝတ်ပြုမှုကို လက်ခံပြီး ထိုရိရှိအပေါင်းတို့ကို ပြန်လည်နှုတ်ဆက်ကာ ဝမ်းမြောက်စေခဲ့၏»။
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights atithi-dharma (the ethics of hospitality) and reciprocity: worthy guests are to be honored with proper rites, and the guest should accept with humility and respond with respectful greetings, strengthening dharmic social bonds.
Bhishma recounts being received by a group of sages who offer him madhuparka and perform a formal welcome; he accepts their hospitality and then respectfully acknowledges and pleases them in return.
