कथं सृष्टानि भूतानि कथं वर्णविभक्तय: । शौचाशौचं कथं तेषां धर्माधर्मविधि: कथम्
kathaṁ sṛṣṭāni bhūtāni kathaṁ varṇavibhaktayaḥ | śaucāśaucaṁ kathaṁ teṣāṁ dharmādharmavidhiḥ katham ||
ဘိဿမက ပြောလေသည်– «သတ္တဝါတို့ကို မည်သို့ ဖန်ဆင်းခဲ့သနည်း။ ဝဏ္ဏ (varṇa) အလိုက် ခွဲခြားမှုကို မည်သို့ သတ်မှတ်ခဲ့သနည်း။ ထိုသူတို့အကြား သန့်ရှင်းမှုနှင့် မသန့်ရှင်းမှုကို မည်သည့်စည်းကမ်းဖြင့် ဆုံးဖြတ်ခဲ့သနည်း။ ထို့ပြင် ဓမ္မနှင့် အဓမ္မ၏ အမိန့်အာဏာကို အစကတည်းက မည်သို့ ချမှတ်ခဲ့သနည်း»။
