सामुद्रिकान् स वणिजस्ततो<पश्यत् स्थितान् पथि । स तेन सह सार्थन प्रययौ सागरं प्रति,रास्तेमें उसने देखा कि समुद्रके आस-पास रहनेवाले कुछ व्यापारी वैश्य ठहरे हुए हैं। वह उन्हींके दलके साथ हो लिया और समुद्रकी ओर जाने लगा
sāmudrikān sa vaṇijas tato 'paśyat sthitān pathi | sa tena saha sārthena prayayau sāgaraṃ prati ||
ဘီရှ္မက မိန့်တော်မူသည်— ထို့နောက် လမ်းပေါ်တွင် ပင်လယ်ကမ်းရိုးတန်းနှင့် ဆက်နွယ်သော ဝဏိဇ ဝိုင်ရှျယများ၏ အဖွဲ့တစ်ဖွဲ့ ရပ်နားနေသည်ကို သူမြင်၏။ သူသည် ထိုကုန်သည်တန်းနှင့် ပူးပေါင်းကာ သမုဒ္ဒရာသို့ အတူတကွ ခရီးဆက်하였다။
