Adhyāya 166: Kṛtaghna-doṣa (कृतघ्नदोषः) — the fault of ingratitude and the limits of expiation
परिवेष्टाग्निहोत्रस्य भवेन्नासंस्कृतस्तथा । न कन्या, न युवती, न मन्त्र न जाननेवाला, न मूर्ख और न संस्कारहीन पुरुष ही अग्निमें हवन करनेका अधिकारी है
pariveṣṭāgnihotrasya bhavennāsaṁskṛtastathā |
ဘီရှ္မက မိန့်ကြားသည်—အဂ္နိဟောတရနှင့် ထိုနှင့်ဆက်စပ်သော အခမ်းအနားများကို ဆောင်ရွက်ရာတွင် သင်္ကာရမပြည့်စုံသူ၊ အစပြုမခံရသေးသူသည်လည်း မသင့်တော်။ အရည်အချင်းမပြည့်မီသူ—ဥပမာ မိန်းကလေး၊ အိမ်ထောင်မပြုသေးသော ယုဝတီ၊ မန္တရမသိသူ၊ မိုက်မဲသူ၊ သို့မဟုတ် သင်္ကာရမရှိသော ယောက်ျား—တို့သည် သန့်ရှင်းသော မီးထဲသို့ ဟောမပူဇော်ခြင်းကို မပြုသင့်။ ဤသင်ကြားချက်သည် ဝေဒပူဇော်ပွဲသည် စိတ်ကူးယဉ်သဘော သို့မဟုတ် လူမှုအလှပြမှု မဟုတ်ဘဲ လေ့ကျင့်မှု၊ သန့်ရှင်းမှုနှင့် ကျွမ်းကျင်မှုကို လိုအပ်သော ဓမ္မဝိနည်းဖြစ်ကြောင်းကို ထင်ရှားစေသည်။
