The Dove’s Lament and Celestial Reunion
भीष्म उवाच शृणु राजन् कथां दिव्यां सर्वपापप्रणाशिनीम् । नृपतेर्मुचुकुन्दस्य कथितां भार्गवेण वै
bhīṣma uvāca śṛṇu rājan kathāṃ divyāṃ sarvapāpapraṇāśinīm | nṛpater mucukundasya kathitāṃ bhārgaveṇa vai ||
ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– «အို မင်းကြီး၊ အပြစ်အားလုံးကို ဖျက်ဆီးပေးသော ဓမ္မတရားမြင့်မြတ်သည့် ဒိဗ္ဗကထာကို နားထောင်ပါ။ ဤကထာကို ဘာရ္ဂဝ (ပရရှုရာမ) က မုချုကုန္ဒ မင်းထံ ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်»။
भीष्म उवाच
Sacred narratives, when heard with attention and reverence, are presented as morally purifying—guiding the listener away from wrongdoing and toward dharma.
Bhishma introduces a revered, sin-destroying tale and notes its pedigree: it was previously told by Parashurama (Bhargava) to King Muchukunda, preparing the listener for an instructive exemplum.
