ऋषिसमागमः — युधिष्ठिरस्य शोकवर्णनम्

यदा हास्य गिरो रूक्षा: शूणोमि कटुकोदया:,जब द्यूतसभामें दुर्योधनके हितकी इच्छासे वे बोलने लगते और मैं उनकी कड़वी एवं रूखी बातें सुनता, उस समय उनके पैरोंको देखकर मेरा बढ़ा हुआ रोष शान्त हो जाता था
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | yadā hāsya giro rūkṣāḥ śṛṇomi kaṭukodayāḥ | dyūtasabhāyāṃ duryodhanahitecchayā te vaktum ārabhante, tadā teṣāṃ pādān avalokya mama vardhamāno roṣaḥ śāmyati sma |
ယုဓိဋ္ဌိရက ပြောသည်– «သူတို့၏ ရက်စက်ကြမ်းတမ်းသော စကားများကို ခါးသီးသော ရည်ရွယ်ချက်ဖြင့် ထွက်ပေါ်လာသည်ဟု ငါကြားသည့်အခါ—အန်ကစားခန်းမ၌ ဒုရျောဓနကို ကျေနပ်စေလိုသော ဆန္ဒကြောင့် သူတို့ စကားစတင်ပြောလာသည့်အခါ—ငါ၏ ဒေါသသည် တဖြည်းဖြည်း မြင့်တက်လာ၏။ သို့သော် သူတို့၏ ခြေထောက်များကို ငါမြင်လိုက်သည့် ခဏမှာပင် ထိုဒေါသသည် တိတ်ဆိတ်သွား၏»။
