इन्द्रोडग्निरर्यमा चैव यत्र प्राक्‌ प्रीतिमाप्रुवन्‌ त॑ देशं कारपवनाद्‌ यमुनायां जगाम ह

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | indro 'gnir aryamā caiva yatra prāk prītim āpuvan | taṁ deśaṁ kārapavanād yamunāyāṁ jagāma ha | upaviṣṭaḥ kathāḥ śubhrāḥ śuśrāva yadupuṅgavaḥ |

Translation

ဝိုင်ရှမ္ပာယနက ပြောသည်။ «ရှေးကာလ၌ အိန္ဒြ၊ အဂ္နိနှင့် အရျမန်တို့ အလွန်ပျော်ရွှင်မှု ရရှိခဲ့သည့် ယမုနာမြစ်ကမ်းပါးရှိ ထိုနေရာသို့ ယဒုတို့အနက် အထွတ်အထိပ်ဖြစ်သော ဘလဘဒြ (ဘလဒေဝ) သည် ကာရပဝနမှ ထွက်ခွာ၍ သွား하였다။ ထိုသန့်ရှင်းသော တီရ္ထ၌ ရေချိုးပြီးနောက်၊ ဓမ္မတရားရှိ၍ အင်အားကြီးသော ဘလဒေဝသည် အလွန်ဝမ်းမြောက်မှုကို ရရှိ하였다။ ထို့နောက် ရှင်ရသီများနှင့် စိဒ္ဓ (အောင်မြင်ပြီးသူ) များနှင့်အတူ ထိုင်ကာ သန့်စင်မြင့်မြတ်သော ပုံပြင်တရားများကို နားထောင်လေ၏။»
