शल्यवधे कौरवसेनाभङ्गः, भीमस्य गदायुद्धं, दुर्योधनस्य समाह्वानम्

एते विनिहता: सर्वे प्रस्कन्ना: पाण्डवाहिनीम् । दुर्योधनने कहा--मैंने पहले ही इन्हें बहुत मना किया था, परंतु इन लोगोंने मेरी बात नहीं मानी और पाण्डवसेनामें घुसकर ये प्राय: सब-के-सब मारे गये ।। शकुनिरुवाच न भर्तु: शासन वीरा रणे कुर्वन्त्यमर्षिता:
ete vinihatāḥ sarve praskannāḥ pāṇḍavāhinīm |
ဒုရျောဓနက ပြောသည်—“သူတို့အားလုံးသည် ပाण्डဝတပ်အတွင်းသို့ အလျင်အမြန် ထိုးဝင်သွားကြသဖြင့် သတ်ဖြတ်ခံရကုန်ပြီ။ အရင်က ငါ အပြင်းအထန် သတိပေးခဲ့သော်လည်း ငါ့အကြံကို မနာခံကြ။ ရန်သူတန်းထဲ ဝင်သွားပြီးနောက် သူတို့သည် အများစုအားလုံးနီးပါး ဖြတ်တောက်သတ်ဖြတ်ခံရ၏။”
